Summerslam Part 2. 'Oh dear, this can't end good.' - 17th August '10

Next up was a promo by The Miz (OMW's second favourite wrestler after Dashing of course, who there was a serious lack of at SSlam), where he said that he was going to reveal whether or not he would be on WWE's team against The Nexus. We were hoping that he would say he wasn't going to, not because we didn't want to see him wrestle, but because we were hoping for a big surprise to fill the remaining spot, say, The Rock returning (as if that was ever going to happen). Mizzy was saying about how all the team had begged him to join the team, and came up with the funniest line we've heard in wrestling all year - "John Cena said I'm the only one who can see him". We didn't really hear a lot of what the Miz was saying after this becuase we were laughing so hard. Anyway, the long and short of it was that he was going to join WWE's team in the fight against the Nexus. And then of course the obligatory "Because I'm The Miz...", you know the rest. OK, so no surprise team member for that match then. Or is there...?

Then came the match for the WWE Championship between current champion Sheamus and Randy Orton. The match started with a little showboating and taunting from Sheamus, not clever when you've got Randy Orton across the ring from you. There's a bit of back and forward for a while until a steel chair is bought into the equation by Sheamus. Oh dear, this can't end good. The referee tries to fight the chair from Sheamus, and fails, getting knocked out of the ring in the process. This of course ends in a disqualification for the Human Jar Of Mayonaise and a win for RanOr, though not in the way he had hoped. He took out his frustrations on the champ, leading to a RKO on the announcers' table. Let's hope that Randy gets back what he thoroughly deserves soon (although this is doubtful of the rumours of HHH coming back for a feud with Sheamus are to be believed).

Next up was the (overly predictable) match between Kane and Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship. Kane enters with a casket (or coffin, in English), and we predict from the very start what is going to happen with that. Every time Kane opened the casket, we were expecting to see someone pop out of it. But no, at least 3 times we were disapointed. The match finished with quite a good set of moves and counters, and Kane picked up the win. Kane goes for the casket, opens it, and Guess Who? It's only the bloomin' Undertaker! Predictable, but good all the same. He's looking pretty rough nowadays isn't he? Obviously MC Cool isn't taking good care of her old man. Go on Taker, whip out the Just For Men. After Undy threatening ReyRey, but believing that he wasn't the one who attacked him, he turned his attentions to Kane, who at this point thought he'd gotten away with it if it weren't for that meddling Mysterio. Both grabbed each other round the neck to set up for a Chokeslam, but Kane overpowered Taker and swiftly tombstoned him. Next there'll probably be the predictable Brother vs Brother feud for the 273 millionth time.
