For a wrestling fan like me who loves surprises, the past few weeks have been amazing.

Let me start with The Rock. We have mentioned before that everytime there is an upcoming 'surprise' in wrestling, we ALWAYS hope for The Rock to return. So when a woman stepped out of the car last week on RAW, I was disappointed. Very disappointed. Then something unbelievable happened...

All wrestling promoters take note: This is how you do a surprise return.

Ok, so The Rock made it pretty obvious. Maybe he should have launched his Twitter account after he came back, but so what? I had waited 7 years for him and it was worth every second.

As soon as I heard that, 'IF YOU SMELLLLL, WHAT THE ROCK... IS COOKING.' A massive smile appeared on my face, I screamed a little bit and felt as if I was going to explode with marking out.

The only tiny, little thing that was wrong with his return was the crowd. MSG, Chicago and even Sheffield Arena would have been louder than that. I admit, the first pop when his entrance music hit was great but The Rock got a louder reaction than that when he was wrestling every week.

It still gives me goosebumps and I think it always will.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. She's currently trying to write her essay which has to be handed in tomorrow, which is why I'm posting for the first time in a while. She says she'll make some more parody pictures like this in the near future, so keep a look out. Enjoy! MCMG along with Beer Money and Generation Me put on great matches every week and produce stuff the WWE hasn't done in years. If WWE want to be smart, they should sign some tag teams that are good enough to compete with TNA's. Well, anybody would be better than Cena and Otunga.

I love surprises and TNA have had plenty of them this year. Jeff Hardy returned to TNA right at the start of the year and he may have not been at his very best, but he attracted a hell of a lot more fans to the company. My favourite storyline of the year had to be 'them' finally coming to TNA. I really had no idea who it would be and it was a genuine surprise, as was Fortune joining on the next iMPACT!

WWE also has a lot of things to be proud of this year. Nexus dominated the WWE for the majority of the year with one of the best storylines produced in ages. I love the Nexus and they bring a refreshing edge to the PG shows, plus it has given a major push to Wade Barrett who should be a future champion. WWE has also done well to make sure the Nexus didn't get boring, adding Cena and Punk to the group kept it going all year. Roll on 2011.

Sheamus, Swagger and Miz have all become World Champions this year. The young talent has shined through whilst WWE maintained it's seasoned main-eventers. Lets hope next year some more talent will be pushed to the top as WWE will probably be losing some more superstars as they retire.

The Divas division hasn't done bad either. Putting LayCool together was genius and Natalya finally has a title. Melina and Beth both successfully returned from injury and WWE have gained a new Diva in Kaitlyn. 2011 looks like a good year for the Divas division.

However much we complained about the PG Era or Ric Flair wrestling (Again, retire already!), 2010 has been an excellent. Well done WWE and TNA, we are all looking forward to what you can do in the upcoming year.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. This post is just for fun.
2. I, like most wrestling fans, am on the outside looking in and don't really have a clue how hard it is to run a wrestling company.
3. I love both of these companies, regardless of what I say.

Let me start with TNA. The question is where do I start? This year they tried and failed to restart the 'Monday Night Wars', got themselves into more debt and made a few bad decisions.

The hiring of Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair is the biggest problem for me. Most fans watched TNA as an alternative to the larger than life shows that WWE put on. TNA has some of the best wrestlers I have seen in a long time, yet they choose to show an hour of Immortal before they put on a match. This makes no sense. Some of the only things that TNA had as a weapon against the WWE were the fresh talent and phenomenal wrestling, they seem to have replaced this with retired veterans and pointless non-wrestling segments.

Another thing that infuriates me slightly is the Knockouts division. It has got marginally better with the addition of Mickie James and her feud with Tara but the only original Knockouts I actually like are Madison Rayne and Sarita. They need to get rid of the Knockouts tag titles that mean nothing and book their ideas up a bit.

Oh yeah, one more thing: I'd like to see a lot less of Dixie Carter's face. Thanks.

Although WWE have been the more dominant company as usual, they are not free of flaws.

Over the past year WWE have not used their tag teams to their full potential. They did have a good patch, with the Hart Dynasty, The Dudebusters and The Gatecrashers being pushed on the main shows. All of these teams have now been broken up and WWE are pushing Santino & Koslov and Gabriel & Slater over actual tag teams. In fact, on a RAW there were 3 tag team matches with only 1 actual tag team in them. Hopefully next year the tag team division will grow stronger. (I'm hoping for a Trent Barretta and Curt Hawkins team to appear.)

Not pushing Zack Ryder is another bad decision. I know we may be biased because he is one of our favourites but I'm starting to think that the man has done something wrong. He is underrated in every sense of the word. He would be a brilliant US, Tag Team or Intercontinental champion and has a pretty large fanbase considering how little he is shown on TV. I hope WWE sees how much use they could get out of not just Ryder but all their young superstars.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. It's a blog post from Andrew 'Test' Martin after the tragic death of Eddie Guerrero. It is a harsh look at what the wrestling business is really like for some of the workers and it shows all the people who say wrestling is 'fake', what these guys really go through. I think it is a fitting tribute to Test, who sadly passed away in 2009.

The line that stuck in my head most was, 'Yes wrestling is entertainment but the bumps and bruises are real and sometimes they don't go away...'

Because even though we say that some wrestlers suck or that they don't deserve a job, the truth is that they all work as hard as each other. These are probably some of the most talented athletes in the world, yet they get some of the harshest critisism of any profession. That's why I think that 'Stand Up For WWE' is such a good idea, it got people talking about why they love wrestling.

I think for all those wrestlers who have broken bones, torn muscles or are crippled by the time they are 50, not giving them the recognition they deserve is like a slap in the face.

So if one of your friends starts to say how 'fake' and ridiculous pro-wrestling is, show them this tribute.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. RAW House Show Review Part 2. - 3 December '10

After all the posing, Orton and Barrett had a decent match. Barrett threw some great strikes and played the heel really well, I'm not sure if he could ever be a successful face though. Then Randy got into his routine: scoop slam, DDT from the ropes... Until the ref got knocked out. Barrett hit Randy with the WWE title and ordered Cena (cue screams) to be the replacement ref. He complied and counted but Orton kicked out at 2, which led to an argument between Cena and Barrett. Randy then hit a picture perfect RKO and won. So that's 2 hometown boys losing, well done WWE. You really know how to book a show.

Then came the interval. Justin Roberts hopped out of the ring after telling us to buy a photo 'personally signed by John Cena'. No thanks. Lauren asked me to go and see Justin Roberts with her, I said no. She asked again, I said no. She asked again and I eventually went and stood at the barrier with her, only to have my hand touched by JUSTIN ROBERTS. Announcers love us, first that girl who used to announce on ECW waved at us, then Chimel gave us a nod, now Roberts touched my hand. Who's next?

Match 7.

Maryse, Tamina and Alicia Fox vs. The Bellas (Groan) and Eve (GROAN). Maryse and Tamina I can watch wrestling quite happily. But adding a person who's legs are far too long for their body, 2 twins who are possibly more annoying than Taylor Swift's face and someone who has as much personality as a wet sponge does not help the situation. After saying all that, the match wasn't too bad. There were a couple of botches but they were recovered well. Maryse played an awesome heel whilst the Bella's wrestling has got so much better. The thing that annoyed me most about this match was the silly smark sat behind us chanting, 'BORING'. If he had opened his eyes he would have seen that this Divas match was better than most of the ones they have at the televised shows. Stupid man.

The Bellas and Eve won, somehow. Yet another face victory.

Match 8.

Sheamus vs. John Morrison. We love Morrison so much that we made him a 'I ♥ JOMO IN SLOW-MO' sign. I thought of that myself, how clever of me.(Maybe I should copyright it...) He saw it and pointed. We, yet again got over exicted and nearly ripped the sign in half. This match was excellent and one of the best of the night. It was clearly practice for both of them and almost the exact same match was on RAW a couple of weeks later, but it was still amazing. JoMo and Sheamus are both in great shape and delivered some new moves, you couldn't take your eyes off the match. Sheamus won in the end (and was the only heel to do so all night) but we were not too disappointed as JoMo saw our sign again.

Match 9.

MAIN EVENT TIME! First out was the Miz. The next WWE champion came out to a chorus of boos (not from us, of course) and proceeded to tell the arena why he is so awesome. He then got Alex Riley to say a few words about him which ended up with the quote of the year: 'I fold this man's underwear and I like it.' Genius.

I know most people say that Cena is the new Rock and Orton is the new Austin, but Miz is more like the Rock than anybody else in the company. The way he poses, talks and carries himself shows that he has been influenced by 'The Great One'. Although, I think he should do a Mr. Anderson and let the crowd finish his catchphrase.

Next out was Mr Cena who got the loudest pop of the night. We did not catch his cap or T-shirt, despite our Cena sign. The little kids in the front rows got them instead, which prompted the question, 'Why can't I be small and cute anymore?' When I was 7 years old, the biggest superstar around was Stone Cold and he was more likely to throw a can of beer at your rather than his cap. Been as we were sat on the 5th row, we could hear Cena say. 'I'm feeling good tonight' and it showed. Cena was doing dropkicks and leapfrogs all over the place, very athletic for a guy who many say, 'can't wrestle'. Both him and The Miz put on a solid main-event with Miz taking some time out to shout at little kids wearing Cena merch. A-Ry got involved and Miz went to hit Cena with the MITB briefcase but Cena dodged it and he hit Riley instead (Miz then pulled the funniest face known to man, unfortunately I didn't get a picture). Cena hit the AA and won.

All in all this was an amazing show, the wrestlers did a fantastic job of entertaining us. Even if they have travelled half way across the world, are jet-lagged and exhausted they still perform to the best of their abilities. That's why we love it.

Roll on TNA in January!

R x

Woo Woo Woo. Obviously people in England are too slow to learn the words to the new one...). Who was his opponent, I hear you ask? Well it was only season 2 of NXT's star rookie and Miz look-a-like, ALEX RILEY. As soon as we saw him at the top of the ramp, we went absolutely crazy. I think we were the only people in the arena who were...Truth won, which wasn't surprising but the match was a good starting point for the evening.

Match 2.

Usos = meh. These guys need to show a bit more personality to become good heels. Alternatively, they could reform Too Cool and dance around the ring. On the other hand, Santino + Koslov = Pure comedy genius. The crowd always go crazy for them and I think it makes Kozlov tolerable. The anonymous GM also travelled all the way to Birmingham and informed the teams that before the match there had to be a dance-off. What came next made me laugh more than I ever have at any show I have been to. I normally hate anything that involves athletes dancing, but I would pay good money to see this dance off again. I'm sure there is a video on youtube that you could look up. Anyway, Santino and Koslov won and I came to the conclusion that Santino is one of the best comedy wrestlers WWE has ever had.

Match 3.

We had no idea what matches there would be that night. The next entrance music we heard gave us both complete joy. 'OH RADIO, TELL ME EVERYTHING YOU KNOW.' My day was made. Forget Stone Cold, Ric Flair, The Undertaker or Shawn Michaels, there isn't a wrestler I have ever been so happy to see. Zack Ryder has been one of our favourites for a good year now but we had never got to see him live before. As soon as his music hit we started screaming and jumping around like the crazy fangirls we are. People were staring but we didn't care. We had a feeling that Zack was going to be there, so we made him a 'Zack Pack' sign. He looked at the sign and he liked the things he saw. Not only did he look but he did a 'Call Me' sign and gave us a nod. That was it. My life was made.

I hope Zack knows how thankful we are that he aknowledged us, it seriously made our night. (He was against Ezekiel Jackson but there is nothing much to say there. Zack deserves much better.)

Match 4.

Goldust vs Ted DiBiase. This match was very good, I think Ted and Goldust work well together. Teddy was doing his normal heel thing that he does at house shows, which consists of him spending more time out of the ring shouting at people than he does in the ring. Goldust ended up winning and taking the Million Dollar Championship with him. Not a bad result at all.

Match 5.

REGAL, REGAL, REGAL... The man gets treated like a King in England. I think the only ones who still boo him are the kids that don't understand the 'heel in America, face in their home town' thing. After the major high of Regal came a major low. 2 words, Daniel Bryan. We know the man can wrestle, we know he is talented, we know he has held a lot of major championships all around the world but we just don't like the guy. Ever since NXT he has just got on our nerves and when we heard his silly entrance music we just groaned with disappointment. Although, what came next was quite enjoyable. Whilst he was getting into the ring I decided to display my dislike for him (you can't enjoy it if you don't get into it), we were holding a Regal sign up and booing the hell out of him. He then stopped, looked straight at me and decided to laugh at me for a good 5 seconds. It was very patronising and kind of rude but I applaud the man for playing the heel and making me dislike him even more. Well done.

The match unfortunately didn't live up to expectations but it was still one of the best of the night. Regal's age limits what he can do nowadays but he still gave Bryan a run for his money. Bryan locked in his submission (one of my least favourite finishers) and won the match. Regal was a good sport and got even more respect from everyone in that building.

Match 6.

Wade Barrett vs Randy Orton. Unlike Regal, Barrett was no home town hero. You can tell how much impact the Nexus have as a heel stable by how much Barrett got booed that night. We were cheering him, of course but he played his part very well. He started off by saying that he came from 'the greatest city in the world, Manchester'. Nice move Wade, even though I agreed with him it seemed as if the rest of the Birmingham crowd didn't. Every one went crazy for Randy as usual and he spent a good 5 minutes posing.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. 'For crying out loud Randy, don't fall off.' - 4 October '10.

Hell In A Cell.

We weren't originally going to order this PPV, but the Cena vs Barrett match swayed it for us.

Miz vs Morrison vs Bryan.
I was sceptical about this match, because Submission matches normally bore the hell out of me. It started off well, but it then got very interesting. The star of this match for me, was definitely John Morrison. Not only did JoMo do an amazing Starship Pain (and actually did it correctly) but he did what quite frankly can only be described as a leap of death. The man is crazy. I thought that he had Miz at the top of the ramp, but to my surprise I was very happy to see Alex Riley break it up and fall into a cameraman (which is always funny).

Bryan then made Miz tap out. What I find strange is that Bryan isn't getting a big crowd reaction at all, I have a theory for this: ENTRANCE MUSIC. It can either make or break a wrestler. The entrances should reflect a wrestlers character (Zack Ryder and Cody Rhodes being great examples) but Bryan's music is boring. Actually, that is quite a good judge of character.

Orton vs Sheamus.
I was confused as to why this match was so early on in the card but I was looking forward to it all the same. Randy Orton's HIAC matches are always excellent, so I was hoping Sheamus could perform to the same standard. He did.

This match was full of high spots, my favourite being Randy Orton telling the cameraman to 'MOVE!'. Orton won with an RKO (one of my favourite finishers) and then climbed up the cell. All I was thinking when he got up to the top was, 'For crying out loud Randy, don't fall off.' Luckily, he didn't.

Edge vs Swagger.

Edge had shown up on Smackdown to rain on Jack Swagger's parade in his never-ending quest to end stupidity. It only makes sense that Alberto Del Rio was his next target. Although this time, it was Swagger who interrupted Edge. Edge got a bit angry and went after Swagger and Del Rio and the GM (who sounded a bit like Verne Troyer last week) interfered in the brawl. The GM organised an 'impromptu' match betweeen Swagger and Edge. It was a fair match, as per usual Swagger bled from the mouth. Edge won with a spear and nicely set up a Bragging Rights feud.

Cena vs Barrett.
This is it. This is what months of Cena fighting against Nexus boils down to. Before this match, I was hoping for Barrett to win. Not because I dislike John Cena but because I didn't want WWE to disband their best product. I was not disappointed.

The match started off very well and whilst John Cena was gaining the upper-hand, Nexus then decided to take front row seats at the bottom of the ramp. Wade got a bit angry at them and his Manchester accent got very broad, I'm disappointed that Justin Gabriel didn't have a rational explanation to enlighten us with (in the past he has come out with such gems as, 'Where's the spare key?'). I then had a little mark out moment where the Superstars joined forces and drove Nexus away from ringside. This is where I would have turned into Creative Director and Wade would get John set up for the Wasteland whilst Cena was distracted by the Superstars. This way, Wade would have won and Cena could have blamed his loss on the other Superstars. Therefore, turning him heel.

Unfortunately this didn't happen. The match went on for a bit longer, with Wade even kicking out of the AA (which gave Wade a lot of credibility). Cena had the STF locked in until a fan got into the ring and distracted the ref. Another fan (these fans look suspiciously like NXT season 2 rookies) then hit Cena in the head which helped Wade get the pin. YES! Even though there was interference, Cena is now part of the Nexus. I really didn't think that WWE had the guts to pull something like this off but they have surprised me again. I cannot wait until RAW.

Natalya vs McCool.
Two of the best female wrestlers in the WWE get to have a great singles match on PPV. What I didn't like was that when they unified the titles, they decided to keep the Divas Championship. I would prefer it if the WWE referred to their female competitors as 'wrestlers' and kept the Womens Championship, which sounds a lot more credible than the Divas.

The two of them had a brilliant match, until it ended in a DQ. Hopefully the feud will carry on.

Undertaker vs Kane.
I wouldn't say that I was looking forward to this match. Both Taker and Kane are past their prime and this is a very physically demanding match. Although, I know that both of them can pull off anything.

The match was very even, with a lot of 'BOO...YEY...BOO...' from the crowd. All their finishers were used (including a Last Ride from Taker). Kane then knocked out the ref, allowing Paul Bearer to enter the cell. Taker got temporarily blinded by light coming from the urn, which was then given to Kane by Bearer. I did not see that one coming! Kane won with the help of Bearer. Overall the match wasn't bad. It didn't need the cell though, as it was hardly used. I'm glad I didn't get my hopes up for a HIAC match like the one Taker and Foley had.

This PPV was well worth our money, the word 'surprise' has been used a lot in this post and that is what WWE does best. The predictability that WWE has had in the past has most definitely gone and if this is the standard that all PPVs are going to be, I'm looking forward to the future.
The thing that ruined it a bit for me, was Lawler's digs at Striker. Keep it professional guys.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. She asked me to send her (very brief) summary text messages as to what happened on last week's Smackdown and iMPACT! Smackdown's went something like this:

Smackdown update Number 1: Kane had a match with Chris 'I was on Big Time Rush' Masters. It was OK. Kane did a dropkick and eventually won. Then Kane had a rant about the Undertaker and made this little kid very uncomfortable.

2: Dashing and Drew had a match against the Hart Dynasty, which was very good. Then it showed Taker sitting on some steps. It then showed Mexican JBL 'hurting' Christian's pectoral muscle backstage. Next, it was a 'From the Vault' of Chris Jericho with his old entrance and his 2008 Y2J character. It made me cry a little.

3: Luke Gallows has had a bit of a shave!

4: CM Punk had a go at Luke Gallows. Luke then strangled CM Punk and told him he was going to have a beer when he won his match against him later on. (Does this mean he can grow his hair back now he has turned on Punk? I hope not.) Kaval and Chavo had a match with lots of flippity flips, Chavo won. Taker then did one of his, 'In the United Kingdom this November, I will go against...' but unfortunately he didn't mention 'Shef-field' this time.

5: Mexican JBL then did a promo on how he beat up Rey and Christian and how Rey is back next week. Christian then came in and beat him up for a bit. But then MexJBL hurt Christian's arm again. Bye bye Christian. Then it showed Taker sat on the steps again.

6. Big Show vs Hawkins and Archer. Hawkins tapped out to a camel clutch, then I was sick in my mouth when I looked at Vance Archer's tattoos. (Come on Vance, wear some tights!) CM Punk came out (with new boots on may I add) to go against Luke Gallows. Punk won with a GTS. Then it showed Taker sitting on some steps. Again.

7. Vickie G then came out and excused herself a bit. Dolph vs MVP. Kaitlyn then pushed Vickie over after fighting over Dolph. LOLOLOLOL. Dolph walked out and got counted out. Then it showed Taker, have a guess... Sitting on some steps again. But this time, he sees someone! I wonder who...

8. Kane is out. Tense music comes on, he starts rambling on about demons and hell again. Many minutes pass. He did say something about Creatures of the Night, but unfortunately I don't think he was referencing Jeff Hardy... Taker's strange druid men come out with a coffin. NO WAY. PAUL BEARER IS IN IT. OMG. HE HAS AN URN. TAKER IS COMING OUT. HIM AND PAUL ARE NOW IN THE RING. TAKER IS FINE AGAIN. HE IS BEATING UP KANE. Kane runs away. Then they do that thing where Taker blobs his tongue out to the urn. Sdown is over.

And that is how you mark out over text message.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. '...why does he not have a title?' - 6th September '10

Underrated. A word that gets used a lot throughout the pro-wrestling community. So we thought that we would share with our massive audience of zero followers who we thought deserved a little bit more.

Zack Ryder.
Poor Zack, a swift kick to the face from Sheamus and that was the end of his first World Title match. As you can tell we love Zack, his hair, his tan, his catchphrase. But WWE seem to be putting him on the back burner recently. He had a very good match on RAW before the Fatal Four Way PPV, but apart from the mentioned incident with Sheamus, he has not really been used all that much. Come on WWE, you have a young, healthy, good wrestler with one of the best characters to get heel heat. Use him please! (Preferably in more matches with Evan Bourne.)

Christian.
The veteran who has never really had a chance. Many think that Christian's lack of title matches is because he spent quite a while in TNA and Vince is punishing him. Really Vince? Christian is a entertaining wrestler who knows what he is doing. Plus, he is a fan favourite. Get Edge back on Smackdown and put him in a feud with Christian immediately!

Matt Hardy.
We have been Hardy Boyz fans since the start and Matt has never once had a World Title in all these years. We know that nowadays Matt is a little on the round side, (Fat Matt, Husky Hardy, you know what we mean.) but he is still very capable. He is another fan favourite who always gets a loud ovation so why does he not have a title?

Cody Rhodes.
DASHING. We love this man with his eyebrow combing and his gleaming smile, but it seems that although he is on Smackdown every week, a title opportunity hasn't come his way in a while. I think he would be a great IC Champ and he is one of the best heels the company has. He is only young, so hopefully the future holds bright things for Cody.

William Regal, Gail Kim, Goldust and the Dudebusters all get mentions too.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. 'His facial hair looks abysmal.' - 6th September '10

We had mixed emotions about the main event of Summerslam 2010, mostly the fear of being disappointed. The mystery member of Team WWE had still not been announced and we thought that it would probably be Mark Henry (It always is, isn't it?). But to our surprise, The Miz decided that he would take the spot. Ok, that isn't too bad.

Just when we got comfortable in our seats to watch the match, John Cena decides to say that Miz was too late and he has already found someone. Hence, both of us literally on the edge of our seats, feeling sick with anticipation...

Cena: "Well, sorry Miz but you are too late. You see, we have been looking all over for another member and we have already found one."
Miz: "Who? Who could possibly be more awesome than me?"
Cena: "Good question, but maybe there is somebody. Somebody with millions...and millions of fans."
Miz: "So, who are you going to get? Lady Gaga? The Jonas Brothers?"
Cena: "Sadly, no. We have got this man..."

-"IF YOU SMELLLL, WHAT THE ROCK, IS COOKIN'."

And then I woke up.

There was no Rock. But there was a huge surprise that it was Daniel Bryan that showed up. We are not the biggest fans of his here at 'Oh My...' but we applauded WWE on an actual surprise. Unfortunately, there are three things wrong with Daniel Bryan being the mystery member.

1. Nobody mentioned that he had any bad feelings towards the Nexus. Last time we saw him, he was working with them. Confusing, yes.

2. He spat in Cena's face, now they are acting like best buddies.

3. His facial hair looks abysmal.

The actual match was very good, since this was basically professionals against rookies. It eventually got down to John Cena and Wade Barrett. We were hoping that Wade would pull this one out of the bag because Nexus had dominated nearly everyone on the roster. We were mistaken, Wade the 6'5'', bare knuckle fighting Mancunian tapped out to Cena.

Overall, this PPV was worth staying up until 4 in the morning for. Roll on Summerslam 2011.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. 'Oh dear, this can't end good.' - 17th August '10

Next up was a promo by The Miz (OMW's second favourite wrestler after Dashing of course, who there was a serious lack of at SSlam), where he said that he was going to reveal whether or not he would be on WWE's team against The Nexus. We were hoping that he would say he wasn't going to, not because we didn't want to see him wrestle, but because we were hoping for a big surprise to fill the remaining spot, say, The Rock returning (as if that was ever going to happen). Mizzy was saying about how all the team had begged him to join the team, and came up with the funniest line we've heard in wrestling all year - "John Cena said I'm the only one who can see him". We didn't really hear a lot of what the Miz was saying after this becuase we were laughing so hard. Anyway, the long and short of it was that he was going to join WWE's team in the fight against the Nexus. And then of course the obligatory "Because I'm The Miz...", you know the rest. OK, so no surprise team member for that match then. Or is there...?

Then came the match for the WWE Championship between current champion Sheamus and Randy Orton. The match started with a little showboating and taunting from Sheamus, not clever when you've got Randy Orton across the ring from you. There's a bit of back and forward for a while until a steel chair is bought into the equation by Sheamus. Oh dear, this can't end good. The referee tries to fight the chair from Sheamus, and fails, getting knocked out of the ring in the process. This of course ends in a disqualification for the Human Jar Of Mayonaise and a win for RanOr, though not in the way he had hoped. He took out his frustrations on the champ, leading to a RKO on the announcers' table. Let's hope that Randy gets back what he thoroughly deserves soon (although this is doubtful of the rumours of HHH coming back for a feud with Sheamus are to be believed).

Next up was the (overly predictable) match between Kane and Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship. Kane enters with a casket (or coffin, in English), and we predict from the very start what is going to happen with that. Every time Kane opened the casket, we were expecting to see someone pop out of it. But no, at least 3 times we were disapointed. The match finished with quite a good set of moves and counters, and Kane picked up the win. Kane goes for the casket, opens it, and Guess Who? It's only the bloomin' Undertaker! Predictable, but good all the same. He's looking pretty rough nowadays isn't he? Obviously MC Cool isn't taking good care of her old man. Go on Taker, whip out the Just For Men. After Undy threatening ReyRey, but believing that he wasn't the one who attacked him, he turned his attentions to Kane, who at this point thought he'd gotten away with it if it weren't for that meddling Mysterio. Both grabbed each other round the neck to set up for a Chokeslam, but Kane overpowered Taker and swiftly tombstoned him. Next there'll probably be the predictable Brother vs Brother feud for the 273 millionth time.

L x

Woo Woo Woo, You Know It

Summerslam Part 1. 'Eeeew. I do not like that!' - 16 August '10

Here at 'Oh My...' we don't normally get so excited about Summerslam. This year though it was a different story. Probably because the Sky+ refused to record it so we had to stay up to watch the whole thing until 4am...

Been as we were sacrificing sleep for Summerslam, we thought would throw a bit of a bash. Cue, a trip to the supermarket. We ended up buying: Crisp 'Jerichos', 'Friday Night' Angel Delight, 'West Coast' Pop, 'Long Island Iced Z', Skips 'Sheffield', 'Cross Face' Chicken Wings, a 'Human Jar of Mayonnaise' and the Chomp 'Is Here!'. We also bought 'Summerslam' Salsa. (A bit of a tenuous link, but I really wanted salsa...)

Then, the show finally started. The first match was for the IC title, first out was Dolph 'Why do I have to pretend Vickie is my girlfriend?' Ziggler, along with Vickie 'I should really stay behing the curtain' Guerrero. Kofi then bounced out, looking like a Jamaican Hulk Hogan. The match was going pretty well until from out of the blue, NNNNNNN turned up. I was not expecting that, well not in a Smackdown match anyway. They could have at least waited until it had finished, or done it in a more high profile match. Oh well, at least Ziggler still has the title...

Next was the Divas Championship match. I still don't get why Alicia Fox had the thing in the first place, her legs are way too long for her body to be co-ordinated with them. Melina came out wearing a headdress and many other things that took too long to remove. And when she did remove them, she was wearing the most hideous tights which probably made her look naked to the people in the nosebleed seats. The match was a bit of a train reck, a couple of good moves from Melina saved the match. Then it all ended very quickly, with Melina as new Divas Champion. Well done. No time to celebrate though as LayCool (The Marmite of the Divas division, you either love them or hate them) came to beat up Melina and Alicia Fox. Michelle McCool even dropped her i-Phone on the floor which was still there when she went back up the ramp. In Chesterfield that would have been swiped and sold on Ebay in 10 seconds...

Next was Big Show vs the SES. The hilight of this was looking at CM Punk's new tattoo and going, 'Eeeew. I do not like that!' The match was actually quite good, bearing in mind this was a 3 on 1 handicap match involving the Big Show. What distracted me in this match, was that Joey (Sorry, Joseph) Mercury over sells most of his moves. He always takes it 1 step too far. Maybe he is jealous that John Morrison could keep his job, and his hair...Punk and Serena then left the rest of the SES to tackle the Big Show. They failed miserably. I sense cracks in the foundations of the SES.

R x

Woo Woo Woo. Basically because I love NXT. I think it was a good move by the WWE to ditch a show that was a shadow of it's former self, and bring in some new talent.

Although when you bring in new talent, I thought the idea was to push them, to show off their skills and abilities. But WWE seem to be doing the exact opposite. Instead of filling a show with excellent wrestling matches, they choose to have kissing contests (Never have I cringed so much in the space of 5 minutes). Instead of pushing the rookies, they make them look bad in ridiculous talk-offs. When they eventually get around to the matches, they are brilliant! They may think the challenges are entertaining, but I find them embarrassing. If Bret Hart had been in NXT when he first started, he would have been humiliated when asked to cut a promo on something totally irrelevant. Think about if the Great Khali had been asked to do an obstacle course, he wouldn't have got around it in the time the show was being taped.

However much I moan about it, I think that NXT is something different from the same old RAW and Smackdown shows (Even though RAW and SD have been getting so much better over the past few months). It gives you a glimpse into the future of the WWE (and it gets Zack Ryder on TV every week). Imagine, no NXT, no Nexus, no best storyline in WWE for years.

On a lighter note, how much does Alex Riley look like the Miz? And act like the Miz?

And please, no more kissing contests. I'd like to keep my dinner down next time... I know that he can't stop telling people how dashing he is, but who knew the man had this much comedic talent? Ok, maybe it wan't supposed to be funny but I laughed because I know how much of a nerd he is really...(Woah, is that a Zelda Triforce Cody?)

The whole backstage area and the fact that he was wearing a towel reminded me of this monumental event in WWE's history >

On Superstars this week, something happened that is quite possibly
the shocker of the century. Zack Ryder...In trunks.

WHAT HAPPENED ZACK?! Where did your one-legged tights go? When Zack walked down the ramp, there was a gasp, then a silence of about 30 seconds before Lauren got why I gasped in the first place. (She had a Joey moment.)

We still love Long Island Iced Z, but we have to ask the question : "Why Zack, why?" Is it because your ex-girlfriend decides to exercise during Smackdown tapings? I suppose we will never know, but please ditch the trunks.
Everybody knows that one-legged tights are the future...(And plus it took us so long to make those damn tights on SvR 2010.)

We seem to notice on RAW that when John Cena doesn't have the championship, he reverts back to the comedian Cena. However, when he does have the championship he seems to be all serious....
Therefore, this week John Cena came down the ramp smiling. He made a few jokes, danced around a bit and even called Sheamus a human jar of mayonnaise. (Even though John himself used to be pale, search for Episode 49 of the Dirt Sheet, you will love it.) I adore this Cena, the man who shows off his mic skills and makes you laugh. We wrote about our obsession in the very first introductory blog, so now it's time to go into more detail about this absolutely genius show. With 70 episodes in total, the Dirt Sheet was a weekly account of the week's happenings from the perspective of The Miz and John Morrison (perhaps one of the best tag teams ever; bring them back too please!). From the Fink's introduction ("2 men have risen above to bring you the Dirt Sheet") to the closing statement ("Be jealous!"), the 'Greatest Tag team of the 21st Century' - by their own admission - sung, joked and argued their way through their opinions about the goings on in the WWE. With many truly hilarious moments, the Dirt Sheet has to be one of the best shows on the web. There were some classic introductions from JoMo, which were mostly egotistical statements such as "Hi I'm John Morrison, and if God had 2 sons, I would be the better looking one" (there's a Facebook group at the side if you want to take a look at them all >), but that's of course why we love him. And then there's The Miz, who generally got bullied by John, but was certainly the funnier of the two. In future blogs, we'll be writing about some of our personal favourite episodes in some more detail; they made us laugh, made us cringe, and made us laugh some more. So to finish in classic Dirt Sheet-style: in life there are winners, and there are losers. BE JEALOUS!

L x

Woo Woo Woo. Yes, I know what you are going to say: "If you want to see Jeff Hardy, watch TNA."

And I do.

But being a loyal WWE fan, I know that the best place for Jeff is in the company that made him. Even though he is still amazing in the ring, nothing he does on TNA compares with some of his iconic matches in WWE ( TLC 2 was one of the greatest matches in Wrestlemania history). I have been a Hardy Boyz fan from the very beginning, and Matt was at his best when he had Jeff. So WWE, if not for Matt, you should bring back Jeff because he could shift a hell of alot of Hardys merch (And we know how important that is). He is only in his early 30s and if he gets healthy again, Jeff could stay in the WWE for a good 10 more years.

There is hardly anybody who is as over with the crowd as Jeff, he is a fan favourite, kid favourite and even though he has his problems, he truly loves wrestling. And, his band isn't bad either.

So if WWE wants to bring back a superstar, my pick is Jeff. Get him on the straight and narrow and he will be as good as he used to be.

R. x

Woo Woo Woo. But it might be shown on RAW this week...

The end of RAW on the 21st of June was a thing to behold, the 'Nexus' decided that they weren't that sorry and attacked their boss. (I don't really get it either...)

But that was not the most interesting part...

What happened after RAW has this blog writer stood up on her seat and screaming like Randy Orton's wife when Triple H broke into their house. (Remember that?)

Cena stumbled into the ring after his beat-down and the Nexus followed. R-Truth then decided to hop down to the ring and help out, followed by Mark Henry who was running surprisingly fast. Then the single person that started all the childish excitement decided to come on down and save Cena, Randy Orton.

RanOr is the man of the moment, so WWE decided he should lead the RAW roster out to help. As usual, the roster wiped the floor with the Nexus .John Cena even attempted to throw Justin Gabriel out of the ring, but he knocked William Regal off the apron instead. Genius.... This prompted the Nexus to try and beat the roster, again. But again, they failed and retreated to the back. This left the RAW superstars to have a mini-party in the ring, WOOHOO!

They all left to the sound of Randy Orton's music, while RanOr had a good posing session for the fans. (I love how he does his old pose, he did it at a house show we went to and I nearly peed.) Mr. Cena's music started, but he wasn't having any of it and pointed to Randy in the ring - who was still posing. I think the thoughts in Cena's head were a little like this, "Why is my music on? I know, let me point to Randy. After all, he is my BBFL!" Or maybe not...

The whole thing finished with Randy walking back up the ramp to his theme, whilst posing some more. AWESOME.

R. x

Woo Woo Woo. After the break-up of Legacy, many thought that he would be the 'Jannetty' of the group, but if this gimmick works we see bright, shiny things in Cody's future - and no, we're not just talking about the light bouncing off Randy Orton's well-oiled body.

Accent of the Week

Justin Gabriel

In the spirit of World Cup fever, we pay homage to the host nation by nominating the only South African wrestler on the roster and our favourite NXT Season 1 rookie: Justin Gabriel.

Many people think that he doesn't have the mic skills to succeed in the WWE, but does any of that matter when you have a beautiful South African accent? No, is our answer. We can forgive his shakiness and stuttering just as long as he says something with that accent, because the creators of this blog are seriously considering moving to South Africa to adopt their African twang.

Thank you Justin, and thank you South Africa.*

*But our appreciation doesn't quite cover the whole vuvuzela situation.

Look-a-likes Of The Week

John Cena & Darren Young

Yes, we know it's probably very predictable, but it's also really funny. The 'black John Cena' himself even admitted it on the June 21 episode of Raw. It really is uncanny how two completely unrelated Superstars can look so alike. At first, here at 'Oh My...', we thought it was just us who had weird minds, but after reading other blogs and hearing Young's own admission, we started to think we weren't going crazy. Maybe we'll see these two tag-teaming in the future, the referee might have a little difficulty in telling them apart though. They could use it to their advantage, its been done before; just look at the Bellas, the Usos, and Edge/Curt Hawkins/Zack Ryder.

Woo Woo Woo. England was kicked out of the World Cup, and we were so inspired by this poor show that we decided to write about a better sport: pro-wrestling.

2 lifelong wrestling fans, with strange obsessions and a weird sense of humour, will be attempting to write a weekly blog. Earth-shattering and ground-breaking it (probably) will not be, but we will try to drop some knowledge onto your brains in the style of JoMo.

We may talk about how all good wrestlers have dimples, how Cody Rhodes is a nerd, how Zack Ryder is a fashion legend and how the Dirt Sheet opened our minds to new horizons. Just a warning...

Woo Woo Woo.
